Common questions

Where is my data stored?

On your device, in the app's own storage. There is no account and no sync server, and your entries are never sent anywhere.

Can I move my budget to a new phone?

Only through a device transfer or backup that includes app data — because nothing is stored on a server, there is no sync to log into on the new phone.

Why do converted amounts differ from my bank?

The app uses published reference rates. Banks and card issuers apply their own rate plus a margin, so the two rarely match exactly. Treat the app's conversion as indicative.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. The only thing a connection adds is up-to-date exchange rates; entering and viewing your budget works offline.

Can it connect to my bank?

No, and that is deliberate. The app never asks for bank credentials and cannot access any account.

My language or currency is missing.

Send it in — language and currency coverage is expanded based on what people actually ask for.

Reporting a bug

Bug reports are welcome and genuinely useful. The ones that get fixed fastest include:

  • Your device model and Android version.
  • The app version (shown in the app's settings or on its Play listing).
  • What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
  • A screenshot or screen recording, if the problem is visible.
  • Whether it happens every time or only sometimes.

Feature requests

Send them. Budget Calendar is built by one person, so not everything can be done, and things that are done take the time they take — but requests genuinely shape what gets built next, and you will get an honest answer about whether yours is likely to happen.

Deleting your data

Budget Calendar has no account and no server-side copy of your data.

  • Delete an entry — remove it in the app.
  • Delete everything — uninstall, or Android Settings → Apps → Budget Calendar → Storage → Clear data.
  • Android backup — if your device backs app data up to your Google account, that copy is managed in your Google account settings.
  • Written confirmation — email litrenders@gmail.com and you will get one.

Policies

The privacy policy explains exactly what the app does and does not handle. The terms of use cover the agreement between you and LITrenders.
