The short version
- Out of the box the app is local. Your progress, rhyme library and session history are saved in your own browser, and nothing is sent to LITrenders.
- Two features are optional and off until you choose them: signing in with a Google account, which syncs your progress, and AI analysis of a round.
- AI analysis is the only feature that sends a recording of your voice anywhere. It goes to a LITrenders server function, which forwards it to [AI PROVIDER] to be transcribed and scored, and returns the result. It requires you to be signed in.
- The microphone is requested only when a session starts, and declining it leaves every training mode working.
- There are no ads, no advertising identifiers, and no analytics or tracking SDKs anywhere in the app.
Who is behind the app
LITrenders is the trading name of Bruno Camargo, an independent developer. There is no company behind it and no team — one person builds these apps, and the same person reads the mail sent to litrenders@gmail.com.
Whenever this policy says “we”, it means exactly that one person.
Training without an account
This is how the app behaves unless you deliberately change it. Everything the app knows about you is written to your browser's own storage on your own device:
- Your alias, and whether you prefer the dark or light theme.
- Your XP, level, practice streak and unlocked achievements.
- Your rhyme library, including any words or groups you added.
- Your session history: which mode, how long, how many rounds.
None of it is transmitted. There is no LITrenders account system, no server holding a copy, and no identifier attached to any of it. Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes all of it, immediately and permanently.
If you sign in
Signing in is optional and exists for one reason: so your progress follows you from a phone to a laptop. It uses Google sign-in through Firebase Authentication, both operated by Google.
When you sign in:
- Google tells the app your account identifier, display name, email address and profile picture URL. The app uses the identifier to know which record is yours, and shows the name and picture in your profile. Your Google password is never seen by the app.
- The data listed in the previous section — progress, rhyme library, session history — is copied to a single document belonging to your account in Google Cloud Firestore, and kept in step from then on.
- Your subscription status, when subscriptions exist, is stored on that same document. It is readable by you and writable only by the server, so it cannot be altered from a browser.
Signing out stops the syncing and leaves your local copy alone. Deleting the stored copy is covered under your data and how to remove it.
If you use AI analysis
This is the only feature that sends a recording of your voice off your device, and it never runs on its own. It happens when you ask for a round to be analysed, and only while you are signed in.
What happens, in order:
- The round you just performed is recorded in your browser, held in memory for the length of the round.
- That recording is sent to a LITrenders server function, together with the context of the round: the mode name, the difficulty, the target rhyme ending, the stimulus words you were given, and how many seconds the round lasted.
- The function passes the audio to [AI PROVIDER] to be transcribed into text, then passes that text back to the same provider to be scored on five dimensions.
- The transcript and the scores come back to your browser and are shown on the results screen.
What is not done with it:
- The recording is not stored. The server function holds the audio only for the length of the request and writes it nowhere. LITrenders keeps no archive of recordings.
- The transcript is not saved. It is displayed on the results screen of that session and is gone when you leave it. It is not written to your device or to your synced record.
- It is not used to train anything. LITrenders does not train models and does not supply anyone's training data. What the AI provider does under its own agreement is governed by its own policy, linked below.
Your account identifier accompanies the request so the server knows the caller is signed in and can apply a per-user rate limit. That identifier is not sent on to the AI provider; the provider receives the audio and the round context, and nothing that names you.
If you never use this feature, no audio, transcript or round context ever leaves your device.
The microphone
The app asks your browser for microphone access when a training session begins. It is used for two things: the live level meter that shows you are being picked up, and the per-round recording that the optional AI analysis needs.
- Permission is granted by your browser, to this site, and you can withdraw it at any time in the browser's site settings.
- If you decline, the app says so rather than pretending: the meter stays at zero and every training mode still runs.
- Audio is never recorded outside a round you started, and never in the background.
- If you do not use AI analysis, nothing captured by the microphone leaves your device at all.
What the app does not do
- No ads, no ad networks, no advertising identifier.
- No analytics, telemetry or crash-reporting SDK.
- No location data of any kind.
- No camera, contacts, calendar or file access.
- No cookies set by the app itself for tracking. Sign-in uses the storage Google's own SDK requires to keep you signed in.
- No profile built about you, and no selling or renting of data to anyone, ever.
Third parties involved
With no account and no AI analysis, the only third-party requests the page makes are for the two web fonts it is set in. Everything else in this table happens only when you opt into the feature beside it.
| Service | What it receives | When |
|---|---|---|
| Google Fonts and Fontshare | The request for a font file, which includes your IP address as any web request does | Always — they serve the app's two typefaces |
| Firebase Authentication (Google) | Your Google sign-in, and the account details it returns | Only if you sign in |
| Cloud Firestore (Google) | Your progress, rhyme library and session history | Only if you sign in |
| [AI PROVIDER] | The recording of one round and that round's context | Only when you ask for a round to be analysed |
Each processes that data under its own privacy policy: Google's privacy policy for the three Google services, [AI PROVIDER PRIVACY POLICY URL] for the analysis provider, and [FONT PROVIDER PRIVACY POLICY URLS] for the font services.
Google Play Data safety summary
This describes the same data practices as the table above, in the form Google Play asks for. [VERIFY AGAINST THE SHIPPED ANDROID BUILD BEFORE FILING THE DATA SAFETY FORM]

| App activity (sessions, XP, achievements, rhyme library) | Yes — only if you sign in | No | To sync your progress between your own devices |

Data is encrypted in transit. Signing out and deleting your account data is available from inside the app, which is what Google Play's data-deletion requirement asks for; the same request can be made by email.
Your data and how to remove it
- Delete the local copy: the app's settings screen has a reset that clears your stored data. Clearing this site's data in your browser does the same thing.
- Delete the synced copy: sign in, then use the account section of your profile to remove your stored data and account. If you would rather not do it yourself, write to litrenders@gmail.com from the address you signed in with and it will be deleted for you.
- Recordings: there is nothing to delete. Audio is not retained after a request completes.
- Revoke the app's access to your Google account: from your Google account's security settings, independently of anything the app does.
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA or a similar law applies to you, the rights those laws grant — access, correction, deletion, portability, objection — are honoured. If you never signed in, the app holds nothing that could identify you, and most requests are answered by explaining exactly that.
See also the app's data deletion page, which is the URL given for that purpose in the store listing.
Children
Freestyle Academy is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from them. Its content rating is shown on its store listing. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, write to litrenders@gmail.com and it will be deleted.
Security
No app can promise perfect security, and this one does not. What it can do is keep the amount of data worth attacking small, which is the approach taken here: the default mode holds your data on your own device, where there is no server to breach, and recordings are never retained.
All traffic to the services listed above is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS). The credential used to reach the AI provider is held on the server and never reaches your browser. Your synced record is readable and writable only by your own signed-in account, and the subscription field on it cannot be written from a browser at all.
Where data is processed
The server function that handles AI analysis runs in the United States, and the AI provider may process the request there or elsewhere. Google's services process data in the regions described in Google's own policy. If you are outside those regions, using a feature that sends data to one of them is what makes that feature work.
Changes to this policy
If Freestyle Academy starts collecting or sharing something it does not collect today, this page is updated before that version ships, and the “last updated” date at the top changes with it. Material changes are also noted in the release notes of the version that introduces them.
The current version of this policy always lives at this URL, which is the address given in the app's store listing.
