Get in touch
One address, for everything: litrenders@gmail.com. There is no ticket system, no bot and no support tier — the person who reads it is the person who wrote the app. Answers usually take a day or two.
Write in English or Spanish, whichever you prefer.
Common questions
Do I need an account to use it?
No. Open it and train. Signing in exists only so your progress follows you from one device to another; everything works without it, and your data stays in your browser if you never sign in.
Why is the app in Spanish when this page is in English?
Freestyle Academy trains improvised rap in Spanish — the rhyme library, the stimulus words and the modes are all built around it, so an interface in another language would not help much. These documentation pages match the rest of the site.
Do I have to give it microphone access?
No. Decline it and every training mode still runs on its timer. What you lose is the level meter and the recording, which is what the optional AI analysis needs. The app tells you the meter is off rather than showing you a fake signal.
Does it work offline?
It needs a connection to load. Once it has loaded, a session runs without one — the modes, the timer and the rhyme library are all on your device — but reloading the page or opening it fresh requires the network again. Your progress is saved locally either way.
Where are the Battles?
Not built yet. The Batallas tab says so in the app rather than pretending otherwise. When there is something real behind it, it will appear here and in the release notes.
The AI analysis says I need to sign in, or that it is not available.
Analysis is optional and requires a signed-in account, because it costs money to run and the rate limit is applied per account. If it reports that it is unavailable rather than asking you to sign in, the service is not running at the moment — the rest of the app is unaffected, and a session scores normally without it.
My scores from the analysis seem wrong.
They may well be. The analysis transcribes your round first and scores the transcript, so anything that hurts the transcription — background noise, a distant microphone, heavy slang, very fast delivery — carries straight into the score. Treat it as a rough signal over many sessions, not a verdict on one. The terms of use say the same thing at more length.
The rhyme library is missing words I expected.
The built-in list is a starting point, not a dictionary of the language. You can add your own words and groups, and your additions are kept when the built-in list is expanded in a later version.
I moved to a new device and my progress did not come with me.
Progress is stored per browser. It only follows you if you signed in on both devices with the same account. If you did not, the old device still has it — signing in there first will carry it across.
Nothing records, but the timer works.
A few older browsers do not support the recording API the app uses. Sessions and scoring work normally; only the AI analysis is unavailable, and the app says so rather than failing quietly. A current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari will record.
My progress disappeared.
Clearing your browsing data, or using private browsing, clears the app's storage along with it. If you were signed in, sign in again and it will come back from your synced copy. If you were not, it is gone — there was no copy anywhere else, which is the trade that keeps the app account-free.
Reporting a bug
Send it to litrenders@gmail.com. What helps most:
- What you were doing — the mode, the round length, and which screen you were on.
- What you expected, and what happened instead.
- Your browser and version, and whether you are on a phone or a computer.
- Whether you were signed in.
- A screenshot, if the problem is something you can see.
Do not send recordings of your rounds unless they are the bug. They are not needed to diagnose anything else.
Feature requests
Welcome, and genuinely read. The app is built by one person, so the honest answer to most requests is that it joins a list rather than a schedule. Requests that describe a training problem — “I cannot practise X because…” — are more useful than requests for a specific button, because they leave room for a better answer than the one you had in mind.
Deleting your data
This section is the data-deletion route given in the app's store listing.
If you never signed in
Everything is in your browser and nowhere else. Two ways to remove it:
- Use the reset in the app's settings screen, which clears its stored data.
- Or clear this site's data in your browser, which does the same thing from the outside.
There is nothing held by LITrenders to delete, because none of it was ever sent anywhere.
If you signed in
- Open the account section of your profile in the app and remove your stored data and account there.
- Or write to litrenders@gmail.com from the address you signed in with, and it will be deleted for you. You will get confirmation when it is done.
- Separately, you can revoke the app's access to your Google account from your Google account's security settings.
Recordings
There is nothing to delete. Audio sent for analysis is not retained once the analysis comes back, and the transcript is shown on the results screen rather than saved. The privacy policy sets this out in full.
